General

The covers in Hadera are usually made of metal , concrete , or plastic (composite materials) , and their shapes are square , round , rectangular , or elliptical .
In many cases, when round (or elliptical) covers are intended for sidewalks, they are surrounded by a square frame, which greatly facilitates paving work around them (these are in fact most of the square covers).

Colored covers in Hadera are ones that were painted after their manufacture . Some of the covers in the city are gilded .

Covers intended for the Hadera Municipality usually bear the municipal emblem or the words “Hadera Municipality” .
Many covers are intended for the water corporation “Mei Hadera” ; in addition, covers intended for the Polygon shopping center were found .

As in other cities in Israel, a relatively large number of covers intended for other cities were found (the “bug” category) .

There are also covers intended for consumers that are not necessarily municipalities or local councils. These covers are not tied to a specific city and can be found throughout Israel. Examples include covers for Netivei Israel , Israel Railways , Bezeq , and others.

The purpose of the cover usually appears on it (sewer , drainage , lighting , etc.), and therefore the number of covers in the “unknown” category is relatively small .

On a significant portion of the covers in Hadera, the year of manufacture appears .

On a very large number of covers in Hadera, the city emblem appears in a large size. This is true for different manufacturers and appears to be a directive from the municipality to the cover manufacturers , , .
The design of the remaining covers in the city is not distinctive and corresponds to covers typical of the manufacturer.

Manufacturers
The manufacturer’s name usually appears on the covers, with most covers produced in Israel by several leading manufacturers - Rokach Yosef & Sons , Menashe Baruch , Yitzikat HaMifratz , and others.
The city also contains a drainage cover by the Italian manufacturer SAB .

Standards
Cover standards include standards unique to Israel: the Israeli Standards Institute mark , and Israeli Standard IS 489 (equivalent to the international EN124 standard) .
In addition, the international EN124 standard and the various load classes (A50 - D400) are present.
Additional standards usually appear on covers manufactured by non-Israeli manufacturers.
