One of Israel’s largest lid manufacturers. The factory produces lids of various types, metallic, concrete, plastic and more. The factory also markets lids from manufacturers from other countries: Spanish HIDROSTANK and Italian MUFLE.
The manufacturer produces a variety of covers, most of which are made of metal or concrete with metallic plaques attached to them. The covers appear in various shapes, primarily: round , square , rectangular , and elliptical . In fact, the largest number of covers are round covers surrounded by a square frame, in order to ease the paving process around the cover when installed on a sidewalk .
This manufacturer does not produce colored covers. However, some covers have been painted after production, usually by the local authority (e.g., blue to mark a water cover ). A relatively small number of golden covers have been made by this manufacturer .
City emblems for which the covers are intended, or emblems of other clients, are very common on covers made by the manufacturer (likely due to local authority requirements) .
The purpose of the cover is usually listed on it: water , sewage , drainage , lighting , etc.
Many covers bear the year of manufacture .
Many of the lids are made from a fixed template, on which plaques are added as needed (city symbol, city name, purpose of the lid, etc.) , sometimes one of the labels is missing (intentionally, or as a result of wear and tear)
Standards Almost all covers bear the certification mark of the Standards Institution of Israel and the Israeli Standard 489, which is specifically designated for covers installed in areas with vehicle or pedestrian traffic . The European Standard EN124 and its associated load ratings appear on almost every cover, with the most common load classes being B125 and D400 .
Typical Covers A typical cover by the manufacturer is a round cover (often surrounded by a square frame), with the city emblem in the center, and surrounding it the purpose of the cover (sewage, drainage, etc.) along with technical details about the cover , , , , and in more recent formats .
Another type is a cover with a very large emblem (usually of the local authority) , , or with medium-sized but still prominent emblems .
Concrete covers usually have a round metal plaque with the city emblem, and sometimes the purpose of the cover. Other details (manufacturer name, standard marks, etc.) are engraved directly into the concrete part .
Elliptical covers (usually water manhole covers),, which are very similar to each other, can be identified in two types: standard elliptical and "fat" elliptical .
Drainage covers may be round (with different configurations of drainage slots) , , ; rectangular (sometimes with the city emblem on them ); or with arc-shaped drainage slots .
There are several series with distinctive patterns: citrus fruit segments , a background composed of many dots , the WECOVER model , and many others, as can be seen in the detailed listing at the bottom of the page.
