General

The manhole covers in Bat Yam are generally made of metal or concrete and are square , round , elliptical or rectangular in shape.
In many cases, when round covers are intended for pavements, they are surrounded by a square frame, which greatly eases the paving work around them (these are essentially all the square covers found on the site).

The covers in Bat Yam are not colored, though there is a relatively large number of gold-tinted covers, mainly those produced by the manufacturer "Wolfman" .

Covers intended for the Bat Yam Municipality usually bear the municipal emblem or the inscription "Bat Yam Municipality" .
Many covers are intended for the water corporation "Mei Bat Yam", which serves the city .

As in other cities in Israel, a relatively large number of covers intended for other cities (category "Bug") were found . Also in the "Bug" category are covers belonging to water corporations other than "Mei Bat Yam", such as a cover belonging to the "Maayanot HaMeshulash" water corporation .
On the other hand, covers belonging to the Bat Yam Municipality are found in many places around the country, and are among the more "popular" covers in the "Bug" category .

There are also covers intended for consumers that are not necessarily municipalities or local councils. These covers are not tied to any specific city and can be found throughout Israel. Examples include covers for the Ministry of Communications , Ayalon Highways and others.

The purpose of the cover in Bat Yam usually appears on the cover, as well as the year of manufacture .

Generally, the design of Bat Yam covers is not distinctive and corresponds to the typical patterns of the manufacturers.
