No colored or gilded covers were found, nor covers bearing city emblems.

In most cases, the cover’s designation does not appear. In some cases, the designation can be inferred from the cover’s shape (drainage ) or from the consumer’s name (GO - communications ).

The British Kitemark standard appears on many covers .
All covers bear the European standard EN124, along with the load classes that usually accompany it (D400, B125, A15) .
The international SGS standard can also be found on several covers .
