Franklin Electric - Fueling Systems Franklin Electric was founded in 1944 in Bluffton, IN by E.J. Schaefer and T.W. Kehoe. The company that initially produced portable generators was named after Benjamin Franklin.
Later the company entered the fuel sector, and after purchasing several companies it even changed its name to Franklin Fueling Systems, and returned to its original name in 2022.
