Photographer’s Notes: "Airtight Inspection Cover" by Parsons & Hayter of Swanage, Dorset, England. Located in the centre of the sunken bandstand on Swanage seafront. Presumably installed in 1923 (when the bandstand was built) and has survived the complete restoration + resurfacing of the bandstand in 2018-2020.
