Station No. 9 in the historic Oxford Castle route, consisting of 14 plaques depicting landmarks on the site from 700 AD to 2006

In the first civil war (1642-1646) which broke out between parliamentary and royal supporters, Oxford was the capital of royal supporters. As part of the battles, Parliamentary inmates were held at St George’s Tower.
