Originally the company founded in 1858 was named Brickhouse Foundry, became Brickhouse Dudley Click for manufacturer's details and closed in 1984. In 1986 it was reopened by Glynwed under the name Glynwed brickhouse and operated under that name until 1999

The manufacturer has several trade names under which the covers are identified: Triglide , VICTOR model , Dreadnought model , CHEVRON model , and others (all featuring polygonal background patterns). The manufacturer also produces drainage covers with drainage slots in various shapes .
