A company that mainly engaged in the production of stoves and cannons and whose factory was on Water Street.
William Trask transferred his family foundry business to St.John’s from Yarmouth Nova Scotia in 1926. In 1937 a new foundry was opened on Blackmarsh Road that produced stoves, fire grates, manhole covers and sewer grates. In 1961 this foundry burned down. Trask continued on operations until 1982 selling castings made elsewhere on contract.
