The plant was founded by William Aylward in 1872 under the name Aylward Plow Works. In 1922 the company was renamed to its current name: Neenah Foundry. Over the years, the company has expanded its basket of products, and in addition to its covers, it also manufactures tree grates, decorative bollards and more.
