Comments:
Covers a former base of the "Signal Corps" of the United States Army, a corps established in 1863, which exists to this day. A body that deals with communication for any issue, and its name derives from the flag signaling that was customary at the time of its establishment.

Photographer’s note: United States Army Signal Corps manhole with alternative pattern. Located on the former grounds of Fort Pepperrell US Military Base.
