Part of the "Stolpersteine" (stumbling blocks) project, set up by the German artist Gunter Demnig, who commemorates the victims of the Nazis. The ccovers are usually placed in front of the houses of the victims.

HE BECAME THE FIRST VICTIM OF RIGHT-WING VIOLENCE IN THE SECOND REPUBLIC.

ON MARCH 31, 1965 DURING A DEMONSTRATION AGAINST THE NAZI PROFESSOR TARAS BORODAJKEWYCZ, HE WAS BEATED DOWN BY A RIGHT-WING ACTIVIST AND DIED TWO DAYS LATER.
