The monument is located at the site where Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff was murdered on the Tel Aviv beach after trying to organize the immigration of German Jews and saving their property in contact with the Nazi regime. The suspicion of carrying out the murder fell on the revisionist movement, especially the Brit Habiryonim, founded by Abba Ahimeir. To this day, it is not known who killed Arlosoroff.
