Comments:
DGRDR - Dirección General de Regiones Devastadas y Reparaciones - Directorate General for Devastated Regions and Reparations is a body established during the regime of the Franco dictatorship with the aim of rehabilitating the cities damaged and destroyed in the civil war (1936-1939). A significant part of the workers there were political prisoners.
The whole of the ancient part of the town of Potes, was damaged by fire caused by the republican forces, and was rebuilt - something which is reflected in this manhole cover.
