In most cases, it is not known which consumers the covers are intended for, and therefore it is usually not possible to determine the purpose of the cover. In a few cases, the consumer’s name appears: EYDAP (the former municipal sewer company)

 

or the Greek telecommunications organization OTE

On covers intended for the traffic light system, the letters ΦΣ appear

 

On a significant portion of covers, the word ΣΤΕΓΑΝΟ (waterproof) appears

 

In most cases, the covers are not particularly distinctive and usually feature a background of squares

Manufacturers
On a large portion of the covers, the manufacturer’s name does not appear. On others, the following manufacturers were found: the Greek IAS

frequently appear on the covers. In addition, the Greek ELOT standard

 

and other international standards were also found.

Lids that have the text "ΣΤΕΓΑΝΟ 100%" on them mean that they are 100% durable and waterproof
