The covers in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda are generally made of metal or concrete , and are square or circular in shape.
Sometimes circular covers intended for sidewalks are surrounded by a square frame, which greatly facilitates paving work around them .

No colored or gilded covers were found in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, and no covers bearing the city emblem were found.

The purpose of some covers is not indicated. On others appear the name of the telecommunications provider , the water supplier Clavegueram de Barcelona , or the gas company Naturgy .
As noted, some covers bear the name of the utility company, as described above.
