Most of the covers in Seychelles are made of metal , but there are also plastic (composite) covers .
Their shapes are square , round , or rectangular .

No colored or gilded covers were found, nor covers bearing the city’s emblem.

In most cases, the purpose of the cover cannot be determined. Some covers are marked with the word “Sewerage” , “SV” (Stop Valve) , or are identifiable as drainage covers by their drainage slots .

Manufacturers
As mentioned, in Seychelles, covers from many manufacturers around the world can be found. Among them are the Indian companies Crescent Foundry , Neco , and KAJ , as well as Ducast from the United Arab Emirates , SYI Foundry from China , and others.
British manufacturers are also represented: Brickhouse Dudley , and other British producers whose covers are identical to those found in the UK (and thus not shown on this page): Stanton , Clark Drain .

Standards
The most common standard is the European EN124 and its associated load classes (B125-D400) .
Also common are the British Kitemark standard and BS497 .
