General


Manhole covers in Peru are usually made of metal or concrete, and their shapes are rectangular , round , or square .

No colorful covers have been found in Peru, although a few golden covers exist .

No covers with city emblems have been found.

Many rectangular covers feature a pattern resembling a window with a rounded top .

Water covers are identified by a faucet icon , the word AQUA , or sometimes both. Communication covers bear the name or logo of the telecom company , and drainage covers are marked with the word DESAGUE (drainage) .

Manufacturers
The covers were produced by local manufacturers: Fumasa , Fumiver EIRL , Funvesa , and others.
Covers produced by the Mexican foundry Fundición Moreno were also found .

Standards
Generally, standards from ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) were found , .
In few cases, the European standard EN124 and its associated load ratings (D400, B125...) , or the Spanish UNE standard , were observed.
